Lasts for several fish catches
There’s nothing worse than being on a killer spinnerbait or jig bite and running out of trailers. It happened to me at Lake Eufaula and it can be a big time confidence killer. The Fat Albert Grub holds up well to multiple fish catches and even re-rigging.
If your frugal when it comes to money, you can reuse this bait multiple times. For instance, if you’ve got it on a black and blue jig and decide to switch to a green pumpkin color, simply slide the Fat Albert Twin Tail off the hook and thread it on the new one. The body doesn’t rip or tear easily and the appendages hold up very well to short strikes.
Consistent action with each bait
The action of the Fat Albert Twin Tail Grub is outstanding. When you use it as a jig trailer, it will give your jig a slower fall which can be deadly when fishing vertical structure such as riprap banks and dock posts. I’ve been using it a lot lately as a spinnerbait and Chatterbait trailer and its legs move a ton of water. Most importantly, the legs don’t get tangled on your trailer hook which will help you fish much more efficiently.
Each Zoom Fat Albert Twin Tail Grub is identical. This means you’ll get a consistent swimming action every time you use a new one. A lot of other soft plastics come warped and bent in the package, but you won’t have to worry about that with this bait.
Zoom is famous for their vast color selection and their reputation holds true with the Fat Albert Twin Tail. The color selection is outstanding, with colors available for both jig and spinnerbait applications.
I like to use both the chartreuse and white colors with my spinnerbaits. When I’m slow rolling a big Colorado blade in muddy water, you can be sure I’ll have the chartreuse Twin Tail as a trailer. In clear water with willow leaf blades, white is hard to beat.
For my jig trailers, I’ve had a lot of success using Peanut Butter & Jelly in lightly stained water and Sapphire Blue in muddy water on sunny days.
Very competitive price point
The Zoom Fat Albert Twin Tail Grub is one of the cheapest trailers you can find. For $3.29 per 10-pack, just a couple of packs will last a long time. Money isn’t necessarily easy to come by these days, but such a reasonable price will allow fellow bass fishing addicts to keep catching fish without breaking the bank.
If you’re looking to try some new spinnerbait, buzzbait and jig trailers this spring, I recommend grabbing a few packs of Fat Albert Twin Tail Grubs. They’re versatile, long-lasting and easy to afford.
Zoom Fat Albert Twin Tail Grubs are available at TackleWarehouse.com and many retailers nationwide.
